You can obtain a Global Talent visa while in the UK on a work visa and having proven your contribution and relevance to the industry; also if you are in the country on a student visa, have already completed your education and have professional achievements, or have earned a doctoral degree for at least 2 years.

Transition to Visa Global Talent This is not possible if you are in the UK on one of the following visas:

  • Visa for short-term visits
  • Short Term Student Visa
  • Visa for parent of student child
  • Visa for seasonal workers
  • Visa for Home Staff

If you have one of the listed visas, you will have to apply for a Global Talent visa from another country.
